HR Specialist Business Partner Support ? All jobs (page 2)

Rio Tinto is a leading international mining group headquartered in the UK, combining Rio Tinto plc, a London and NYSE listed company, and Rio Tinto Limited, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Rio Tinto's business is finding, mining, and processing mineral resources. Major products are aluminum, copper, diamonds, energy (coal and uranium), gold, industrial minerals (borax, titanium dioxide, salt, talc) and iron ore. Activities span the world but are strongly represented in Australia and North America with significant businesses in South America, Asia, Europe and southern Africa.?

Context ? In January 2012, RTE completed an acquisition of Hathor Uranium Ltd containing the Roughrider resource and Russell Lake exploration tenements. Roughrider has the potential to emerge as one of the top three global undeveloped deposits and rival Cigar Lake and would be positioned in the first quartile of the cost curve with a new standalone mill. Thus, a vision starts to emerge of a foundation Tier 1 mine/mill complex with production and life rivalling Rio Tinto's existing mines with significant expansion potential over 30 to 40 years through access to Russell Lake and other proximate resources. ? The Roughrider project is at pre-feasibility stage and the establishment of a project development team is critical to the acceleration of the study and mine development planning and permitting for the Roughrider project. ? The HR Specialist Business Partner will be a key central point for the existing Hathor employees transitioning to Rio Tinto, as well as supporting the business in its growth plans. ? Concurrently, Rio Tinto has signed a Joint Venture agreement with North Atlantic Potash In to build one of Saskatchewan's largest potash mines.? Potash forms part of Rio Tinto's Industrial Minerals portfolio, which includes other agricultural products.? Exploration has begun in southern Saskatchewan and it is anticipated that development activities will continue towards production over the next five years.? ? Accountabilities ?
